Estimates Disclaimer

All project estimates provided by Hartford Home Maintenance are based on the information available at the time of assessment and are agreed upon prior to the commencement of work. However, these estimates are not guaranteed as final pricing. The actual cost of the project may vary and will be determined based on the scope of work ultimately performed. Unforeseen conditions, additional work requests, or changes in material availability may result in adjustments to the final invoice. Any significant changes in cost will be communicated and approved by the client before proceeding.

 

Estimates and pricing are generating using market data to generate a fair market value price provided as a lump sum.  This lump sum price includes all labor and material required to perform said job. Applicable sales tax is denoted as a separate line item. Hartford Home Maintenance does not provide an hourly rate and does not price jobs by the hour. 

Service Agreement and Deposit Policy

All projects performed by Hartford Home Maintenance require a signed service contract prior to the commencement of any work. For projects where the estimated material cost exceeds $500, a deposit equal to 25% of the total estimated material cost will be required before work begins. This deposit is used to secure scheduling and cover upfront material and labor preparation costs. Alternatively, clients may choose to independently purchase and supply the agreed-upon materials in lieu of a deposit, provided those materials meet the specifications outlined in the service agreement. Hartford Home Maintenance reserves the right to inspect and approve all client-supplied materials to ensure they are suitable for the intended scope of work.

Warranty

Hartford Home Maintenance proudly warrants that all workmanship performed will be free from defects for a period of one (1) year from the completion date of the project.

This warranty applies exclusively to the quality of workmanship performed by Hartford Home Maintenance and covers only labor-related issues that arise due to improper installation or execution of the work described in the original service agreement.

What’s Covered:

• Defects in labor such as improper fitting, fastening, securing, finishing, or assembling

• Work not performed to acceptable industry standards

• Labor that fails due to poor workmanship (e.g., improper caulking, misaligned hardware, etc.)

What’s Not Covered:

• Material defects or failures – Any issues related to manufacturer defects, product malfunctions, or inherent flaws in materials used are not covered under this workmanship warranty. Customers must seek resolution through the material manufacturer’s warranty.

• Damage caused by misuse, abuse, neglect, accidents, vandalism, fire, flooding, or other environmental or structural conditions beyond our control.

• Normal wear and tear or cosmetic deterioration over time.

• Work modified or repaired by others not authorized by Hartford Home Maintenance.

Warranty Claims:
To initiate a warranty claim, the customer must notify [Your Business Name] in writing within the warranty period and provide proof of the original work performed. Upon validation, we will schedule a service visit to inspect the issue and make necessary repairs, free of charge, for qualifying claims.

Limitations of Liability:
This warranty is limited to labor costs only and does not extend to incidental or consequential damages. Hartford Home Maintenance reserves the right to determine whether an issue qualifies under this warranty.

Entire Agreement:
This warranty represents the entire agreement regarding workmanship and supersedes any prior representations or agreements. No other warranties, expressed or implied, are provided.
